An Unexpected Venture

In April this year we were given less than two weeks notice to organise the transport and shipping of a complete carnival from Dubai to the UK. Immediately we sourced three ships over a 10 weeks to carry in excess of 100 pieces of equipment. This was a very time sensitive project and we are proud to say, has been one of largest entertainment jobs we have completed in recent years.

The Breakdown

The site closed at the beginning of April and the breakdown started straight away. Our UK office booked space on vessels and organised transport of all trailers including some that were over 17m long. Tony visited Dubai on 4 occasions to supervise and guarantee an efficient job was completed. As a result of this successful project we have been given the opportunity to quote of two major projects in Dubai.

We had to work with port authorities to gain acceptance of break bulk cargo which we had to utilise mobile port cranes.  Numerous documents had to be completed along with insurance for all cargoes and both staff in Dubai and the UK worked around the clock to ensure a smooth operation with Dubai customs.

Back to the UK

Once back in the UK clearances and haulages had to meticulously carried out. With the cargo being delivered to 11 locations spanning the length and breadth of the country. Tony was of course at the UK port to meet each ship and supervise unloading.
