International Women’s Day | 8 March 2026

This International Women’s Day (Sunday 8th March 2026), we’re shining a light on something we’re quietly proud of: over 70% of our team are women, in an industry where, globally, women make up fewer than one in four of the logistics workforce.

It’s not a statistic we engineered. It’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built, one where the complexity of the work is the draw.

Meet the women behind the Moves….

With Seema Dua leading our American Team @ Ucargo Americas Inc

A Team Built for the Complex Stuff

UCARGO was founded on the principle of ‘We Go Where You Go’ – anything from oversized, time-critical, specialist cargo that demands not just logistics knowledge, but problem-solving, relationship management, and nerves of steel.

Our two key specialist areas, entertainment and live event logistics, and defence, both demand precision, speed, and deep industry knowledge. A carnival attraction doesn’t arrive late.

In Manchester, the focus is on Canning, packaging equipment and General Cargo.  While Americas Inc supports Ucargo  LLP with the stateside operations.

The women running these accounts and operations do it with the kind of calm authority that only comes from doing the hard work and years of knowledge and experience.

Why It Matters Beyond Our Four Walls

The logistics industry has a well-documented diversity challenge. According to industry research, women represent around 20–24% of the global logistics workforce,  and in freight forwarding specifically, senior and operational roles remain heavily male-dominated.

We don’t think that’s inevitable. And we don’t think it’s irrelevant to the quality of the work.

Diverse teams ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and bring different perspectives to complex problems. In an industry where problem-solving is everything, that matters.

Looking Ahead

This year, UCARGO will be present at key industry events, including all the IAAPA’s, DSEI, Lanpac in Hawaii and Fruit Logistica in Berlin,  with our team front and centre. We’re not just attending. We’re presenting, building relationships, and representing what a modern freight forwarding company looks like.

Happy International Women’s Day to every woman navigating the complex, underappreciated, endlessly fascinating world of global logistics!
