Important Notice: War Risk Insurance – Middle East & Strait of Hormuz

As all will be aware of the Escalating situation in the Middle East, there are major disruptions to shipping and freight operations due to renewed military actions.

We have been advised that warehouses are closed and staff are working from home.

Carriers have announced nothing will move in or out of the Strait of Hormuz, which will cause disruptions across many services not just the Middle east.

Insurance companies will monitor the situation; however, if it continues, they will cancel War Risk cover, and shipping lines will start to implement surcharges.

We appreciate that this situation may cause disruption to your supply chain and we are here to support you in navigating this. Please do not hesitate to contact your usual UCARGO representative if you have any questions or require guidance on your specific shipments.
