UCARGO turns 15

Today marks fifteen years since UCARGO LLP was founded on 11 June 2011, and the story started, as the best ones often do, in a basement…

The idea was simple, and the setting was modest: Tony Kennedy and Paul Martin, who’d known each other for years, decided to combine four decades of shipping know-how with a sharp business mind and see what they could build. What they built was a freight forwarder defined less by its size than by a single stubborn principle, going the extra mile on every job. Being on site. On deck. On the ships, if that’s what it took.

Fifteen years on, that family start-up is an international business spanning the UK, Manchester and New Jersey, with reach into Hong Kong and Shanghai, trusted with the cargo most people would call “the difficult ones.”

The basement is long gone. We’re on the third floor now in fact… The principle hasn’t moved an inch. Here’s to the next fifteen.
