On 10 September 2026 the UCARGO team headed to Blackpool for the UK Theme Park Awards 2026, where we were proud to join as Silver Sponsor and sponsor of the awards’ networking event.
Hosted by Pleasure Beach Resort and organised by Theme Park Network, the awards celebrate excellence across the UK’s theme park industry: the creativity, innovation and guest experiences that make the sector world-class. They reach further every year. More than 334,000 public votes were cast in 2025, with national and regional press coverage and a BBC News feature on the day.
The trip began with a behind-the-scenes tour of Pleasure Beach Resort. It is always a treat to see how a park of that scale really runs, from the rides to the operational detail most guests never see.
That evening, networking drinks gave us the chance to catch up with familiar faces from across the attractions and entertainment industry, and to meet plenty of new ones.
The Awards didn’t disappoint: feathers, sequins and dancing before lunch set the tone. Above all, it was a real celebration of the people and parks that make this sector what it is. Congratulations to every winner and finalist.
We rounded things off exploring more behind the scenes and, of course, a few rides for good measure.
